PBT  is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester derived from 1,4 butanediol and terephthalic acid. This polymer is a material of choice for the automotive and electronics industries because of its great mechanical and electrical properties.

PBT is a preferred material for components with high durability.

PBT can be spun into fibers and used as a stretch yarn in flat knitted fabrics. Its elasticity provides a smooth level of comfort and its properties make the fabric breathable and durable.
