Spandex or elastane is a synthetic fiber with exceptional elasticity properties providing great functionality, especially to clothing.

Spandex makes clothes elastic and provides accurate fit. It consequently makes clothes not only more comfortable, but also more durable.

Providing athletes with a full range of motion leading to excellent performance with light weight, Spandex can be blended with other materials like cotton, polyester or nylon.

QIRA can be converted to Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG), the precursor for any Spandex fiber. The overall renewable content of Spandex can be as much as 80%.
